A boutique restaurant that has been influenced in it's design to marry the two cultures which have inspired it, it is truly a one-of-a kind spot in the West Coast community, offering live music entertainment and an ambience that will make you believe the streets of Lisbon are right outside it's doors...

About the Owners
Andy Da Silva is the owner of Petiscos. Having left a mark with Senhor Prego, a popular hot-spot in Joz, where arguably, the biggest pregos were served this side of the equator; Andy brought his love of Portuguese and Mozambican cuisine to Cape Town.
Together with his son Rudi, they form the heart of what is essentially a family-run business.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: the kitchen is closed from 16:00 until 18:00 daily. You are welcome to join us at the bar between lunch and dinner servings.

  • Party Platters - Catering for your own party.
House Rules
  • We uphold a standard of quality and care with each meal, please bear with us on busy nights.
  • 10% Gratuity will be automatically added to your bill on tables of 6 or more.
  • On fully booked evenings, we charge R80 cover for any absent guests on confirmed bookings.
Corkage Policy
  • No corkage allowed on Friday & Saturday evenings.
  • Corkage fee: R50 (per 750ml).
  • No corkage allowed on tables of 15 or more.
  • No corkage allowed on wines we sell.
  • Maximum 1 bottle allowed for every 4 guests.

Functions

Working closely with our clients we endeavour to ensure that an event surpasses expectations, while delivering a great deal of service and excellent food. We love what we do, and take pride in sharing our passion with our guests. We offer live music four times a week, creating the perfect setting for any occasion. We will assist with events ranging from that special anniversary for you and your loved one, to the intimate Birthday party for 10 guest to the corporate function of 80 guests.

Set Menus We will assist you with creating the perfect set menu for your function. We offer a variety of dishes from our excellent a la carte menu to cater for different budgets and tastes. Our aim is to ensure that you receive the best quality food, drink & service at all times.

 Decided to take friends that were down from JHB for the two oceans marathon there on Thursday night and boy once again it didn't fail to be one of the best evenings out in a long time! The vibe, the music, the no pretentiousness of the staff and fellow diners and all in all it was just an awesome evening. Have to be honest I hardly finish my food when I go there as I so get into the vibe that i forget to eat but the xai xai chicken is still my favourite! Sorry guys no photos as was enjoying the music way too much to take any :)

 Possibly the best Portuguese restaurant in Cape Town. It's a nice tucked away joint in parklands, family owned and run by the owner and has always been on the ball with service and food. Being a vegetarian doesn't leave with much options in this cuisine but they have always been happy to make something special up and differently for me! They have a particular chilli sauce with their bread, which is divine.

 This place is not situated in the best location BUT it's sooo worth the visit. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the service is brilliant, the waiters and management are always friendly and helpful. My absolute favourite here is the Beef Trinchado, they don't make it spicy enough for me so I add their home made chilli sauce which just perfects it for me. Their prices are eh... reasonable .Service is fantastic.Food, flavour and portions are amazing A definite must try if you are in the area and enjoy a good Portuguese cuisine, they know how to do it!

 Absolutely stunning food & service!! The Prawn Cakes, Xai-Xai Chicken, Trinchado, Creamy Garlic Mussels and Sole is delicious. Every restaurant should be like this establishment

 The food is absolutely brilliant, the location so so, the owner Andy always on duty and a delight of a person, so is his son Rudi - they do a wonderful hosting job! You have to try the Xia Xia Chicken - incredible! Please note this is not a Portuguese restaurant - don't compare to other Portuguese restaurants. Heads up book over weekends the place is packed! I had my year-end function there once and everyone's food came out simultaneously and cooked to perfection, and we were about 60 people, no easy task! By far the best restaurant in the area!!

This restaurant is the balance between everything from friendly staff, good service but most of all good food and when i say good i mean juicy and flavourful that will meet and exceed your desired tastebuds, this place is a full rating and a definite thums up.
